Lighthouse keeper from BC
#61
Hi Lise! Welcome to the board....
Great to have a lighthouse keeper here! I'm from Maine originally... so I grew up with the coast in my backyard. Gotta respect keepers!
Get those machines tuned up, oiled and runnin! I've found that quilting is a great stress relief. I can putter around in my quilt 'cave' (aka the spare bedroom) for hours. Better than TV!
check out all the tutorials we have here too... lots of good stuff.

Hello and welcome from NC! If you need more inspiration, just keep checking out the entries on this board. There is a ton of great stuff here and more help than you could ever imagine. Good luck. I am a fan of lighthouses so I like your avatar. NC has a lot of great old lighthouses as does NJ where I am originally from.

Hi Lise. It has been many years since I was in your neighbourhood. I commercial fished for many years....mostly around the Charlottes, and in Hecate Strait. Since we lived on Van. Is., we passed by Ivory at least twice every year.
Welcome aboard!! You will find lots of help here.

Hello from western Massachusetts at the foot of Mt. Greylock, the highest point in Mass. The war memorial tower at the top is modeled after a lighthouse. Lots of scrollsaw patterns look like they would make wonderful applique patterns, so you may get more mileage out of your past work.
