    Thanks so much for the tip. I'll first find a fabric I really love and then look on the salvage at the little dots for guidance for what will go with it. Also, using the color wheel for complimentary colors will be helpful too. Now I have the courage to begin. Many thanks.

    Welcome...I'm rather new as well, and a former "Lawnggggggah Ilandah" myself. Where can you even buy fabric on LI... I found it hard to find even a JoAnn's for fabric. Keep stitching.
