Welcome from New Hampshire! I do both, machine and hand piecing and quilting, depending on the project and the time I have to complete it. I prefer to hand piece and quilt as I find it very relaxing and rewarding. The very first quilt I made was a king size quilt that I hand pieced and hand quilted. So you can do it……just take your time, relax, be creative and enjoy!

WELCOME from the Texas Hill Country - you've found a great msg. board, full of sharing, helpful people. I love it.

Always happy to hear of another 'hand' quilter. I'm fairly new here also, but looks like most are machine quilters. I love the slow, quiet time I spend at the frame. I've worked out a lot of things "contemplating" while stitching a little love in every stitch.

Have a blessed evening & may all your quilts be filled w/love.

Hi Andie - love your description of what we get from hand quilting. And yes, I think it should be advertised that way ;-) If more of the world could find the peace I do w/hand quilting it would sure be a nicer one.
