Welcome from New Hampshire! I do both, machine and hand piecing and quilting, depending on the project and the time I have to complete it. I prefer to hand piece and quilt as I find it very relaxing and rewarding. The very first quilt I made was a king size quilt that I hand pieced and hand quilted. So you can do it……just take your time, relax, be creative and enjoy!

Always happy to hear of another 'hand' quilter. I'm fairly new here also, but looks like most are machine quilters. I love the slow, quiet time I spend at the frame. I've worked out a lot of things "contemplating" while stitching a little love in every stitch.
Have a blessed evening & may all your quilts be filled w/love.

It's so calming and relaxing it certainly relieves the worlds stress at the end of the day. Maybe we should advertise it as the only stress reduction activity that also keeps a piece of Americana alive and well. welcome and Happy Quilting...Andie :-D
