    Default Merry little christmas

I am working on Crabapple hill pattern called Merry little Christmas and have a question. I want to do a version that the center is embroidered and not pieced . Can anyone tell me how big a piece the center is before border is added. The center block??

I have not done that one but Crabapple Hill has lovely embroidery designs. Instead of doing the pieced sections, can you substitute a solid piece of coordinating fabric?

The pattern should have the size you need to square up the center block to. What does your pattern say? I can't help you because my virus program has decided Crabapple Hills Studio has a data leak and won't let me access the website to see any of the measurements.

I was able to get to the website ok and look at the finished project.

You should be able to count up the size of the HST/single square blocks to determine the size of the center star. There are 8 divisions.

I've found not all patterns do. I'm wanted to do my flying geese on my next project by a different method than the pattern called for but I couldn't find out how big they needed to be. I had to make a sample so I could tell. It also has a center panel and calls for you to square it up but doesn't tell you how large its supposed to be. So annoying.
