A Great Aunt taught me to quilt back in 1993, didnt get too far with it due to workload. Had medical problems in 1994, and have been quilting every since then :) Aunt Lola showed me how to piece by hand, then how to quilt in the frame. I am comfortable using a sewing machine for piecing now, but I still prefer to use a quilt frame to quilt. It is especially fun with someone else. :) My friend Mary showed me this group, and have enjoyed reading all of your ins and outs of the quilting bug:)

Welcome Soosan, a fellow Graftonian, there is another "one of us" here! When the weather settles down, we will meet. Loretta, I'm referring to you. Maybe there are more of us close enough also.
I happen to know Susan is on the last row of quilting her latest quilt. I have blocks ready to join to make a top. These snowy days would be great to do it. My get up and go has got up and went. mary
