Then too, I've used so of the same style techniques and made the height taller for a nice quilted tote with pockets on one or two sides of the interior. I try to find fabrics which have a real punch like the Vera Bradley accessories.

Some smaller items like coin purses or small to medium cosmetic bags might be good sellers. I try to make gifts and get new zippers at discount at St. Vincent de Paul or Goodwill.

Have you gone on line to a fabric designer (example: Henry Glass and Co.) for ideas and possibly free patterns? I liked the free pattern for Anthology.

I found a technique for installing a zipper in a handbag (lined or unlined pocket) at Henriettashandbags.com

Some of my favorite sites are The Creative Thimble, Lazy Girls Designs, Penney Sturges, and Studio Kat Designs. Of course, you might have to abide by copyright restrictions.

Have you thought of taking a plastic grocery bag apart and making a cloth bag. Some people do that and include an attached pocket for folding up the bag for easy storage.

I am going to try to make some type of purse a woman in the Red Hat group might like to purchase. I also plan to make some small tote type bags as gift bags which can be reused.
My plan is to try taking a craft paper bag apart and come up with something jazzy for carrying a snack of bottled water, fresh fruit, and/or power bar.

I am just brain storming here. Hope this helps and please feel free to pm me at any time. Good luck!!
Thanks for the helpful information. I checked online for the bow tuck pattern but it's out of stock will keep checking.
