Welcome from chilly but beautiful ALASKA! You will love this board :!: Keep warm there in Boston. I was there 1 1/2 years ago and I loved it there. Lots of snow and no where to put it...LOL

You're right about no where to put the snow. Luckily I live about 10 or 15 miles north of Boston proper. Don't go into Boston unless it is necessary. To crowded for me and also I would rather see trees than tall buildings. I heard that sometimes Alaska is warmer than here, how about that.

Ah.h.h. beautiful southern California! We visited there in 1977 , sadly it was when we lost Elvis. Never forget it. We went there to visit our first grandchild who is now 34 years old as of yesterday. DD lived in San Diego at the time and husband was in the Navy, Miramar.
Did I spell it right? Started on Macrame' around that time, lots of it in that area.

You are a tickle and I'm glad you're hear. I am determined to try to make quilts out of what I find at Goodwill, my husbands shirts, whatever. I'd love to make one of those old woolen patchwork quilts like my Grandma had made out of men's suits. Had a flannel back and was the warmest, though smelliest, quilt I've ever been under!

By smelly I mean a combination of pipe smoke and after shave, not all bad.

Remember the broomstick skirts? I made a quilt from those and tied it but that was a mistake. Ties pulled right thru the loose weave!!

Greetings! I am new to this. My computer skills are limited so a photo isn't included in my info. You will just have to believe me that I resemble Angelina Jolie.
I have been quilting for about 20+ years, taught quilting classes for a bit, but now am just quilting for fun and, at times, profit. My older sister quilts, as does my younger sister. Last year I passed along the "quilting fever" to my daughter.

Just noticed the alongside Location, I am listed as "in hiding". I am happy to say I no longer have to be in the FBI witness protection program so you can list me as residing in Northern Illinois.

Welcome from the Tri-Cities, Washington. How wonderful that you have mastered the computer. I agree with you, the Board is addicting. Linda
