Hi! I'm new to the forum & tonight posted pictures of the 3 quilts I've made so far. I just started quilting a year ago. Got into it because I've "inherited" 2 boxes of scraps my late Mother saved from clothes she made my 2 brothers & I as kids. She always intended to make quilts for us, but years passed & she just never got to them. Now that she is gone, we want the quilts more than ever. So, as the seamstress of the family I volunteered. However, since I was always intimidated by quilting, I had a some learning to do before tackling those boxes of scraps! So I took a Quilting 101 class a year ago. Made an Irish Chain/9 patch quilt top. I hope to have it backed & quilted by the first of the year. Since then I have made several baby quilts. Still not too sure what I am going to do with the boxes of scraps; they are still a bit intimidating. But I feel comfortable with my quilting so far & I am gleaning lots of ideas from all of you here! I hope to start one of them after the new year, so tune in later for an update!
