New and happy to be here
Hello all,
I'm new here and I'd like to introduce myself. I'm a self taught quilter that is recovering from stage three breast cancer. I'm happy to say I've kicked cancer's butt but I'm only eleven weeks out from my last radiation treatment. Ugh. I'm ready to start quilting and sewing again but my old bod isn't so I'm going to live vicariously through you guys for awhile! Lol. I belong to two chapters of one of the best quilt guilds in Missouri (Booneslick Trail Quilters Guild day and night chapters) and a small guild that meets at my favorite hometown quilt shop Rooster Creek. They're amazingly good people with a shop that's just as good as they are. I Love all manor of quilts and patterns! But my favorite kind is hand piecing and hand quilting when my old paws will let me! Lol. I'm also working on learning to machine quilt . . . now that's a trip! There are days I think I've learned more cuss words than stitches!! Lol. It's not as easy as it looks but I keep getting better each time I practice!!
I'm eager to meet everyone, share what I know and learn what I can. I'm a happy soul with an addiction. And that addition is fabric, quilting and quilters!! Nice to meet you and I hope to talk to you soon!

Hi Stash Buster,
I too, am new here. I love quilting and am still pretty new to it. All my life I have admired quilting/quilters and am just now getting a chance to learn.
Congratulations on kicking cancers' butt! You go girl!

Hi and welcome from North Carolina. Congrats on beating that Cancer! Very best wishes and prayers for your continued rehab. You'll have great fun on this site. These quilters post pictures of their masterpieces all the time. (Not me. I just do small baby and kids quilts for charities and I don't even have a way to post pictures.)
