Hi, I'm Pam....I've visited this board off and on the past year, or so, but have never contributed. I am from central Indiana. My husband and I live on a farm (although we don't actually do the farming...my brother does) and have 3 children...our son is 26...still single (I'm ready for him to find someone!), and we have 2 daughters ages 20 and 18...both college students (Butler and Purdue). I am a Kindergarten teacher so I am really tired when I get home in the afternoons.
I have been quilting about 6 years now...I love it...however, I have had sort of a 'block' this year...I finally got a sewing room of my very own when our son moved into his own house in Jan....but I just can't get used to sewing upstairs away from all the action (I always sewed in our dining room before). Hopefully, this winter I will get back into it more...I still have acquired patterns, fabric, and lots of project ideas these last few months...need to get busy on them. I would like to do some embroidery, but I don't have an embroidery machine...I am a Viking person...and would love to either buy an SE or the new Diamond (but remember....we are paying 2 college tuitions) so it will have to wait awhile. I did splurge on one of the felting machines recely...it will be alot of fun....when I finally take it out of the box. This board is great....I have gotten lots of good advice from my reading and everybody seems so nice!

Welcome from California, Pam! I just retired from Special Ed. Preschool and can understand why you feel tired at night! Just get those kids out of college and then you can retire, too. I'm loving the free time. (We put three kids through as well......)
