Hi, my name is Theresa and I live in the super suburbs of Toronto with my 2 son's Kyle who's 13 and Stephen who's 11 today. Thier dad, 3 cats, and a dog.
I am fairly new to quilting, but I've been a garment sewer since I was about 11.
I just finished a quilt for my mom who has multiple myloema which is bone marrow cancer. We've been fighting for 11 years, and we did have a recent bad period, but with some radiation and some really good drugs, she is doing extremely well again.
I was born and raised in SK and even though I live out here, my heart is still there, as all of my family and friends are there. I go home every summer for the summer with the boys.
We are on our way camping this weekend, and as usual I have my little pink Kenmore in the very back of my trunk, in case I have a minute to sew!!! I also am doing some English paper piecing so that's in there too!
We store our trailer in Niagara On The Lake, and the closest camping is in the US, so in the summer I'm in the US more than Canada. The boy's dad HATES it when I tell him I need to go to Joann's for a minute. That usually means he needs to go and get me after about an hour or so!
My mil was a quilter and after she died I got all of her stuff. Eventually I will pull it all out and do something with it!
Hope to get to know you all.
Theresa
