New member from Maine

Hi everyone, I'm so glad I found you.
Some may know my name from HGTV and other forums.
I'm a quilter and gardener from Maine. Been quilting since 1995 when I saw a library video by Fons and Porter. Loved it ever since.
I make bed quilts, snugglers, totes, wallhangings, and other quilty projects for family, friends and charitable groups.
Being retired, I need to keep busy and quilting in the cooler months and gardening in the warmer months keeps me active and makes life worthwhile.
I've tried my hand at landscape quilts and love them.
My latest love is Replique, which is upside-down applique. You do it backwards and I stitch in black for the stained-glass look. I also am trying mosaics which is fascinating.
I hope to find new and exciting patterns here, discuss new projects and problems and just enjoy the forum in general.
Good to meet you all!

kathymarie,
I've got a tute posted on my blogspot site listed below. Just look down the tutorial list on the right.
Its not difficult once you get used to the idea that things are all backwards. I find it easier for me than regular applique.
