Where in PA? I live in Ohio along the river and can see PA and WV from my front porch. I am fairly new myself, but everyone is so friendly and talented! You will love looking and admiring everyone's handiwork. They are also full of ideas and answers to your questions. Welcome!

I'm in WV (right in the middle). That is so awesome that you can see PA and WV from your porch! So, I'm guessing, you travel to PA and WV a lot? LOL!

I do all of my clothes shopping in PA, no tax. I love living here. It is a beautiful part of the country. I am sure you have heard of Mountaineer Racetrack and Gaming Resort. It is probably one of our best known local features. Also, the home of Fiesta Ware. Both are very close by in WV.

[i] Hello Everyone, I'm new to quilting and I really love it!! I have sewn all of my life and have just now got addicted to the art of quilting. I've made a lap quilt for my sister for Mother's Day and it turned out very good.
I live in Oregon, where every day is a new experience for me with the nature of this state. My husband and I live in the country a mile or two out of town. I love the GREEN of Oregon!
I am in the process of making up my mind on making another quilt. This time, it'll be a king-size for our bed.
I found one in the Singer "Quilting Bible". The problem I am having is how to figure out the amount of fabric I'll need for a king quilt from the amount of fabric they have for the twin quilt. I need to learn how to figure the yardage for the triangles and squares when they don't give the amount for some of the squares they added onto it.
Is there a site I can find out info on how to figure the amount of fabric I should need when I have most of the figures?
I would appreciate any help I can get.
I think these forums are a wonderful source for people to learn things from.

For a bigginer quilter, I may be biting off more than I can chew with this king quilt. But, I have always believed that if you want to do somthing and have some of the skills to do it, go ahead and do it!
