Welcome from East Texas. Friend in San Antonio says you have awsome quilt shops there.

Oh, this is awesome. Thanks ya'll for such a warm welcome. I'm looking forward
to being a part of this great group!! Jen, though I'm a native Texas, we spent
twenty plus years in the Air Force. We moved to New Braunfels from San Antonio. So cool to see so many states represented PLUS Germany!!! Anyone else in love with the old Singers? I had cleaned and oiled mine a few weeks back and yesterday it locked up on me. Fortunately, it was an easy fix and it sewed like a dream once I seated the stitch finger in the proper niche. Thanks to Nancy Srebo's book on the Featherweights.

    Hi,

We do have two very nice quilt shops here and some not too far away. I am still "with" the same quilt shop I started out with years and years ago. Their location (and mine) has changed, but I am still a frequent flyer at Seventh Heaven in San Antonio. The Quilt Haus and Oak Leaf here in town both seem great and I have shopped them several times and know they offer a variety of classes and good selection of merchandise. Come on down!

You know, I have never been to Georgetown, but I was just reading about it a few days ago. It sounds like a very cool place. Maybe one of these days, we can get together for a weekend of quilting..... and Texans and all can come. Who wants to plan that?? lol

I love the Hill Country, but that old Mountain Cedar sure doesn't like me! ha There is so much to do around here and great food, wonderful music venues, etc.

Why does "location" say I'm "in hiding"?
