Welcome to the board from North Carolina (originally a NYer - born and raised most of my life on Long Island then moved to upstate NY between Binghamton & Oneonta when I was 14.) Moved south 6 yrs ago but NY is still my 'hometown'.

Welcome from another Upstater!!! Have we got you surrounded yet? LOL. I'm halfway between Syracuse and Watertown sorta.. and halfway between Camden and Pulaski... sorta. LOL
Williamstown is a sorta little kinda place but I love calling it home.

Hi, Susie:
We live 1 1/2-2 hours from Houston depending what end of the city you need to go. A friend and I just returned from a day at the Houston International Quilt Festival. It goes on for four days and they have market the week before. It was the first time in several years that I had gone and could only "hang" for one day. LOL. Getting old.
But it was fabulous!!
We haven't been back up north in a few years. The last time we came up, the whole family (31 of us at the time) brought Dad and Mom up for one last trip and we rented cottages in Clayton for a week.
Dad's cousin from Theresa was just here for his funeral a couple of months ago.
I have gotten into the genealogy of his family, and I sure wished I had the time and money for a trip back now. Maybe be after we retire. I love the northcountry.
Where exactly do you live?

Hi Sherry,
My sisters live in the Temple area.
I have a friend that lives in the next town that just got back from the Houston Festival.
Sorry about the loss of your Dad.
I live in De Kalb Junction. :)
