I have always wanted to go the desert! How wonderful! How do you like it there?

Good morning and welcome from Mesa, Arizona. I really really miss living in the country!

Hey I live in BFE - always lived in small towns - if we had a light - we would all be staring at it - I am about 60 miles away from any lights. When you are on the quilting board - you are surrounded by friends - and no driving necessary. Welcome from Sunny Northern California.

I am getting lovely responses from so many nice people from such interesting places! This is the first board I have joined. I love the internet but am skittish of any interaction due to what is in the news. I usually only do searches and read. I have always wanted to travel out west. For every response I get I imagine the place the writer lives. I love all the descriptions of homes that are on dirt roads or in corn fields, the desert, which I have many times contemplated living. This is a new and wonderful experience for me. And with a group that loves to sew! I think I am in for some fun! Thank you for your welcome!

I envy no light! Most seem to hate anything but the bustle of the city. Am I among a group who seems to be not-city oriented? I feel there are many more nowhere'svilles than there are big cities in this country, and I think it is the small places that make people real. Thank you for your welcome, and tell me what BFE means! (I am looking for a cheat sheet so I understand all the abbreviations! Do you know where I can find one?)

Sorry, BFE is something I learned from my hubby (I don't use swear words but this is one abbreviation I use) BFE stands for Bum F*** Egypt. Sorry, I don't like to use those words but that is what it means.. I don't think I will use it again....

How funny! I know that one already only I have not seen it abbreviated! :D :-D :D :-D :D Please excuse my ignorance of the internet! I guess I will learn! (I usually spend my time on sales sites and I don't think Nancy's Notions or Joanne Fabrics would have use for putting such abbreviations on their sites! I am laughing my butt off! And I don't know the abbreviations to say that more delicately! :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D
