Hi, I've been on the Quilting Board for a few months, but have never registered so I thought I would introduce myself. I have been making quilt tops now for about 5 years, but have been around it all my life. I can remember sitting at the feet of my beloved Granny while she was sewing with her Singer treadle machine. I didn't really start making quilt tops until after she went home to heaven. I guess I wanted to just keep a piece of her "alive" here on earth. I have made several quilts for my family & friends and even some with the blocks that she started but didn't finished...those are my most treasured!! :)
I have so much enjoyed all the postings and have learned so much from everyone. I just have one small question...I am always trying to figure out what some of your abbreviations are...some I recognized like FIL - DIL, etc, but some I am totally stumped. Would you be interested in helping a newbie with these? :D :D

Welcome to the board from Southern California!
There are so many abbreviations that are used!! I think there was a thread at one time that explained a lot of them.
DH, DD, DS, DGD/S = dear or darling husband, daughter, son, grandson/daughter etc.
LOL laugh out loud

Hopes this helps a little!!!

Welcome Quilterbee! I am in central Ok, just a bit south of OKC. I started quilting because of my grandma too. I just wish I would have started before she was gone.
So there is a quilt show in OKC soon, are you planning to go?
