hi! actually the snow was about 12-16" by us. not too too bad. but brooklyn and queens really got hit bad. there are no places to put the snow so when the snow plows do come down the streets, they plow the cars in and then the people have no choice but to put the snow back into the streets. and never mind the sidewalks. you cant even see them. from watching the news the garbage has piled up because the sanitation workers are busy removing snow. bet they are making mucho bucko's. where in upstate new york are you from? we have friends in rheinbeck.

i just finished my block of the month square. now if that's now grounds for divorce. i was working on the square since 11 this morning. i am making 3 of these at the same time. 1 1/2 was finished. but it was a real pain in the you know where to do. i was not a happy camper. and i have my husband helping me because he can see the ruler better than i. but we did what we do best, sew and rip, sew and rip. i'm also afrain of running out of fabric because i've made so many mistakes. so i'm off to the store on monday. at $10 a yard, she's happy to see me.

I'm about half way between Syracuse and Watertown...prime area for lake effect snow. A friend of mine lives on Long Island and was saying she left upstate to get away from the snow but it followed her to the Island. I told her she just brought it down with her, that's all. :-)

yeah but upstate is better equipped to handle the snow than down here. i guess its because you have plenty of room between your property.

In some places we do. I live in a small suburb of a small town so our houses are quite close near the businesses before everything spreads out to the towns. But, we get so much snow so often that we're all used to it and can handle it quite well. My friend was saying what a panic her neighbors were in. I couldn't imagine.
