    Greetings from Illinois. I don't know if you have an active Craigs list where you are, but when my daughter lived in Aurora, CO, they got tons of great things through that exchange. You might want to check for suppliles there. And if you have a JoAnn's fabric or other chain store, get on their mailing list and use those 40 and 50% off coupons on quilting tools. Also, you might add specific supplies to your holiday or birthday wish list.

    Welcome from northeast CA. Glad you joined us. There's lots of help and inspiration here. Besides yard sales, auctions, Craig's List as mentioned, try freecycle, thrift stores.
