New Quilter
#11
Welcome, I am a new quilter too. I have only been on here a month and quilting for about 2 or 3 months. I didn't even know how to sew before October. I got books at the library and read them all then bought my machine and it has been love since.... :)
This forum is awesome! I have never seen a group of people so supportive and fun. Just since I have been on here we have added a lot of new ones and it just keeps getting better. The family just keeps growing :)
Anyway welcome and hope to see pics soon!

Welcome to quilting & the Board! :D
I have a friend in Ft. Collins, CO who is starting a new guild in her area. (I just looked on mapquest & see that's about 75 miles from you tho') As you are also a Simply Quilts fan, you might have seen her - Kelly Gallagher-Abbott. She has a great website too: www.jukeboxquilts.com
If you have any questions - about pretty much ANYthing! - just let us know...we have so many answers, at least one is bound to match! LOL

I've been quilting for years but never had any friends into quilting so it's been fun to see others projects and get advise with my own. There are some very talented people in the group and lots of newbies. Welcome!

Minnesota welcomes you to this site, and to the addictive world of quilting! I am not a new quilter (5 years or so), but new to the site and have really enjoyed the chatting and posting, suggestions and encouragement! Welcome!

Welcome aboard.
I am also a self taught quilter who learned through books and TV shows. When I started quilting about 15 years ago there were no Quilt forum. On my site I try to give out information for beginning quilters. I cover applique techniques, traditional blocks, baby quilts, and quilt book reviews. I have reviews of beginning quilting books, if your looking for some book ideas. I have also found others here to be very helpful.
