New to Quilting
#21
Welcome to the US and to this forum. You will really like it here, all these ladies are very talented and willing to help with whatever questions or problems you may incur. I've been quilting for about 11 years now and am still learning. There are a lot of really good swaps that run constantly and you should try to join one or two. There is one for wall hangings and you actually have 4 months to complete one - anything goes on these. The Nov.-Feb. wall hanging swap has just started. This time the hostess is not asking us to sigh up we just have to let her know by the middle of Feb. that you have one ready to be mailed and then at the end of Feb. she will give you a persons name and address of where to send your WH. They are a lot of fun to make because unlike a bed quilt you only have a small area on which to practice a new quilting technique. And the best part is that you will receive one and you get to see what others are capable of doing and maybe even learn something new to try out.
Anyway, I rambled on long enough, please enjoy yourself and welcome aboard.
