New to Quilting from TN
#1
Hello, I have been sewing since age 13 but new to quilting the past few months. Single Mom on tight budet and can't afford quilting classes to learn short-cuts etc. So was wondering if there is a great book out there that anyone would recommend that would help me? I have only done a few paper-piece projects so far, but want to learn traditional block and scrap quilting.

Welcome from central Florida! Check out what is available at your local library - that way you can see if the book is really something that you need to own rather than something you can borrow occasionally. There are so many tutorials on this board (and elsewhere) that books are in danger of becoming redundant. Start with simple squares or strips and master the 1/4" seam - it's like your driver's license. Best Wishes!
