Good Morning to all my fellow quilters !
I am new to this site. I have Dilema.. I am in the midst of a buying a new sewing machine..I currently own a brother XL 6562. in which i learned to quilt on and i bought it about 14 years ago. I have made many gorgerous quilts with it but all have been either hand tied or sent out for quilting...I also own the Janome 350 E embroidery machine which again is a gorgeous machine..
My Dilema comes in which machine to buy. 1.) Baby Locks Symphony. 460 stitches Gorgeous to look at online but cant touch one in a store have to order it. 2.) Janomes Horizon Beautiful machine i have tried this one out. Largest working space. only 250 stitchs 3.) Brothers innov`is NX 2000. 430 preloaded stitches 30 on cd.
All machines are gorgeous all have a little something different about them one thing in common all in the same price range..
My question to all of you is anyoe have a recommendation or a comment if any of you own one of these three machines?
your input is very much Appreciated. Thank you for your time

Hello and welcome from Ontario. Your quilts are lovely. I can't help you with your machine search, but I am sure you will find the information you need.

Can't help you with the machines but DANG.....the Harley quilt is beeeeutiful!!! Its different than the typical black and orange....not that there's anything wrong with those colors, but everything Harley seems to be those colors. Again, kudos...

I've had a Brother CS8072 (cheap Walmart machine that has been ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!) for almost 7 years. It has just started skipping stitches when sewing from thin to thick to thin layers, along with a "spring" noise. A repairman (familiar with Brother machines) said it sounds like just a timing issue which is easily corrected in a "tune up" and that Brother machines newer than 5 yrs old are "just a piece of junk" due to a major change in construction 5 yrs ago. Of course, he wants my business....but to add credibility to what he said, my Brother Innovis QC1000 ($$) that I bought less than 2 yrs ago does not have as nice a stitch as the 8072.
So.....you may want to talk to a few repairmen & get their feedback before you decide!
Welcome to this site - I'm new, too! From Georgia.
