New From Socorro NM
Hello to all. I am not retired yet but hopefully in maybe 10 yrs will be. Came to NM by way of GA as a travel OR nurse and well this seems to be a great place to finish out my career. Will be permanent staff come March when my contract ends. Small town, great community hospital and wonderful folks. Also finally time to get back to quilting.
My last and well only completed quilt was a dresden plate lap quilt back in 2006. My hope is to learn from others on this board, share what I can and get ideas on what works or doesn't. Have a real sewing room with lots of help from my dear husband of 27 yrs. This man even helped me hunt for bunnies for the fabhop when my work week ended up being longer than expected.
Time to be quiet and get back to checking this board out to see what others are doing.
Take care and have a good evening.

Welcome! from Quebec city
nice presentation. I was a travelling nurse also, but with the military. Nice to settle in a place and have time to think of some long term craft projects instead of packing and unpacking all the time. My sister in law is 10 years younger than me, works full time and has 4 grown up kids but she had made quilts for every body and their friends... in 15 minutes or more, here and there for almost 30 years she did not wait for retirement to be so productive. Even more, she handquilts all her quilts, a stich at a time she gets a long way!
Have fun here, grab a big cup of coffee or tea because there is a lot to see and to learn on this board with so many excellent quilters. Lots of ideas for your future projects!
