Newbie to the board....newbie to quilting....

Hello, everyone! I am new to the board and to quilting. My mom (Farm Quilter) told me about you all and suggested I join...and now here I am!
A little about me:
I am a wife to a wonder military man (Air National Guard)/State Trooper and mommy to a wonderful 3 YO DD. I am also in the Air National Guard (hubby and I are in the same unit) and I also work for Lockheed and I am a part time college student.
My mom got me interested in quilting a couple of years ago and Christmas 2009 I went to visit her for a week. In that week I completed my first quilt (minus the binding...and still need to finish it).
Since then I have not done much, but I really didn't have anything to do it with. I am slowly starting to get all the basic tools and some fabric (still a really, really small stash...but its slowly growing).
I am looking forward to getting to know you all and learning more about quilting!!
