Newbie from Indiana. Basic hand-holding required.

Thanks for all the warm welcomes and advice. I went ahead and stuck to the original pattern just to make sure I understood what to do. I finished it today. (Binding was not as bad as I had stressed about!)
So, now I have a crib-size quilt and am now eager to try again on a larger quilt.
As soon as my camera comes back from the shop, I'll post a picture of my quilt.

when you get the quilt finished, measure all sides....then add a few more inches and you will have the amt you need for binding.

I know the feeling, I had no teacher only good friend with big hearts, follow the instruction of the books but feel free to do what ever you feel like doing there is no perfect quilt, only perfect love to quilt, and welcome to the board, here this ladies are great just ask a question and you will get a lots of answers
