Hi--I'm new to the group and a beginning quilter. I'm learning by trial and error and have done my share of removing stitches. Love fabric stores and call it my eye candy. Always looking for a good quality bargain and stash shows it. Also love to read and do a little gardening.

Welcome to one of the friendliest places on the web. I also am a beginner and I also am always on the look out for bargain fabric to add to my statsh. I also am no stranger to the seam ripper. :) Please post pics of your quilts we all love to see the talent of others.

Hi, Carrie! Welcome! This is my favorite site, and I'm sure it will be your new fave, too.
I think we have a little bit of everything here. We're a group of quilters, but you can get advice for ANYTHING! :D
I like to garden, as well, but this is the first year we didn't put a out a garden! I still have some things growing on the porch in pots, though.

Hi Cathe--And a big welcome to you. Are you a new beginner quilter like me? My very first quilt was a mini wallhanging of The Old Man of the Mountain [I'm from NH] with MANY SMALL pieces. I'm looking forward to learning from this group.

Hi AnnMarie--I'm not reading anything at the moment but just finished " A Year in the Maine Woods" by Bernd Heinrich. My reading is eclectic with personal stories a favorite, some history and more than my share of mysteries. What do you like to read?
