Check w/the repair person for Viking at your LQS. I took my Viking #1 in for repair and the part that was bad was going to cost 157. new and it was back ordered. The repair searched his resources and found one from a machine that the owner didn't want to pay to have fixed and now it's going to cost 30. He still has to order it because it isn't here locally but worth the weight. Your repair person might be able to find you one as well. I had to buy the Magic Box for mine because it didn't come w/the card reader orginally made for it and they are next to impossible to find. The magic box does alot of different model of machines

Hello Paulinamarie!
Welcome from Minnesota!
I have a Designer SE which uses a dongle.
Contact a Viking sewing machine dealer in your area and see if they can get you a new dongle. I'm wondering how yours got damaged.

A dongle is a device used to open embroidery designs stored in my computer. I called the local Viking dealer, they say a new one cannot be had. I must find someone who has the Customizing Plus Embroidery System, who doesn't use it any more and still has the dongle. I had hoped to reach someone through the internet. Thanks for your comments.
