Welcome to the QB! I had to upgrade my Grace Frame a few years ago with wooden track. I then purchased 2 long steel rods, bars, that were 115" long each to lay in the track. The metal bars, rods, work wonderfully and sit in that track perfect. You may want to do something like this. I have the original Grace Frame. I hope this helps a little. The plastic track becomes brittle after a short time which may be why they upgraded to the wood track. I also have the newer carriage it is well worth the money. My frame is showing its age now and I am struggling with keeping it in balance. The new parts should keep you going for the longest time.

Thanks. That is very helpful. I would prefer the steel rods but didn't know if they would work on my GMQ since it uses the one inch track. I'm really interested in the new carriage you got. Will it handle a longer machine than the original? I have a Baby Lock that I would need about 3 or 4 more inches on the carriage to be able to use it. Thanks again for the help!

Can't help you with the track, but you might ask at the vintage sewing machine museum in Tulsa on Peoria. W.K. Binger is amazing at getting stuff to work.

Hi from Texas. Sounds like you've gotten some good replies to your track situation. Hop you find something that works.

Welcome from another Oklahoman! My Grace frame is metal and uses the stick in kind. Best wishes.
