Hi Karin,
En lille dansk hilsen skal du ha' her på den amerikanske side. Okay this was the scandinavian "hello". Denmark and Sweden two relative small countries in the north of Europe. Not to forget Sweden i the 3rd largest country in Europe with only 9,4 mill. people. So a lot of nature - without interfrences. Sweden is a dream country if you would like forest, peace, quilt, humanity and "warm" people. This come from a danish - nabour - person |

Hello from Wisconsin.
Enjoy your visit. |
Which states will you visit on your vacation?
|
Welcome from Pennslyvania.

Hi Karin and welcome from New Jersey. Depending on where your U.S. travels take you one place I'd recommend is the Lancaster PA area. Lots of quilts on display, lots of good fabric stores, seeing the Amish people and how they live is interesting. Post your travel plans when they are made and you'll have loads of suggestions.

Welcome from western Washington state! My husband is half Swedish and half Norwegian, talking about being in conflict, ja!
What I have heard from people visiting the U.S. for the first time is that they did not realize it is so big and takes so long to get from one place to another. So concentrate on one area and it will be more fun and relazing for you. I think Pennsylvania is a great place to visit for quilting, too, as the above poster mentioned. Wherever you go you will find wonderful quilt shops and other quilters. |
Welcome from Summerville, SC!!

Welcome from Portage, Michigan. My great grandparents were born in Sweden and I have been trying to find more information about them. They emigrated to Minnesota in the ? late 1800's. Their last name was Abrahamson.

It's my first visit to The States, and I want to visit The National Quilt Museum in Paducha, KY, but there must be a lot of other "quilter's must do" in the US....? Regards Karin :-D |
