Who was your GGM? I'm sure I wouldn't know her, maybe the name, but my husband might, he was born and raised here.

My GG parents were Lizzie and Purley Dingman, they lived in a 1918 house that they built in town. My parents were both born & raised in Blue River: Mom was Mary Dalton, Dad was Gerald Kincannon, Good friends there were the Wallers (literally a crazy bunch) who used to have the hotel in BR. I think I still may have Kincannon cousins in the area.

I know the Dingman name and I knew Dora Waller that owned the Hotel and she was crazy. I'm not sure there are any Kincannon's around any more, the house a block away once belonged to a Kincannon . Were you related to Barbara Chitwood, she was a Dalton. My husband remembers Lizzie and Purley Dingman and Marion and Jim Kincannon. He said Purley had a mink farm. Anyway, we'll have to talk more.

Thanks for the welcome, I had a brother in Salem for quite a few years, and an Aunt in Union, but they're both gone now. But it's very pretty country.

Wisconsin is pretty too, it's been very warm here lately, 60's today, most of the snow is gone and things are getting greener every day. Saw my first Robin of the Spring today on the way home from the beauty shop.
