Hi, I'm a retired teacher too. I taught KG for 31 yr. Now I am so busy quilting I don't have time to miss it. I am blissfully happy.

Hi and welcome from Texas. I retired from teaching in Dec. 2006. Taught 4th/5th grade for most of a 28 yr. career. Now I spend my time watching my 5 yo grandson. I split my time between Austin (where he is) and Lubbock (where my home is). This board keeps me from missing my sewing room too much. Look forward to seeing some of your projects.

Hi Sandi!
Glad you are happy in retirement! I retire in 3 weeks, and though I have aways loved teaching, and the fabulous kids and parents I meet, am ready to try new things! Am only getting started, but have a great stash, etc! Was it Illinois that paid so well for subbing?? Think it is only $125 where I am, WA state. Still, I plan to sub, especially long term ones. I love all the exciting things that are in the future, and can't wait to make goodies for my 2 grands - all pink for the 4 yr old, and all spiderman for the 5 yr. old. |
