    Default Update Quilted Jacket Dilemma

Thank you everyone for your thoughtful consideration. I decided to make a band using the various fabrics and will attach all the way around front openings & neck/back. I was going to use an applique on the back but I think this jacket was a learning exercise and I'll wait to create a jacket using a pattern. This one is going to be a bit bulky in the top front.
The links and videos are really helpful and I'll probably make one more like those in the future.

THanks for your suggestion. That is what I'm doing.

I folded it back inside and stitched it down by hand. Probably not the way a seamstress would do it but it fits my body and was easy in batiks.
I had to contend with large bust also and probably affected my choice on vneck. I am going with the suggestion and making a strip around fronts & back to edge it

Default Update to my quilted jacket

    applique2.jpg

This is the applique I was going to use on the back . I think I will save it for another jacket or a shirt and use a pattern to be sre it comes out right. It's a learning experiene.
