Hi Enola
I joined this board back in July but have not got around to doing anything until now! I bought my material yesterday to start my along awaited table runner! Next purchase is a Janome Memorycraft 3500 sewing machine from John Lewis!
I see you are in Bradford - I live in Stockport and there is a lovely shop called Patchfinders in Hazel Grove in Stockport where I bought my material from. It is a real Aladdin's cave and such beautiful materials. Probably a 1.5 hour drive from Bradford. The ladies are so helpful and patient too with beginners who don't know where to start............

Hi Enola from Delavan, Illinois. You're gonna love it hear...and from some of the previous posts, it looks like there's a good potential for a weekend quilting friend. Wouldn't it be fun if you and Karenmay
could get together and quilt away!!!

welcome enola. I love to find fabric in thrift shops and at yard sales You can find some great buys and great colors and patterns on the cheap-side. It seems more old-timey to me. To use discarded clothing. I have stuff thats got to be 20 yrs old at least. In good condition if it's been stored right. I'm collecting Hawaiian prints among other things :-)
