Hi, I am 79 and new to this forum today. I have never quilted, but I piece quilt-tops for the sick children at St. Jude.
I do a lot of knitting.
It's time for me to learn this craft--so many beautiful quilts, so many ideas.
And you quilters are so friendly and kind to beginners. (me)
I live in Peoria, Il.
I have had 4 husbands-- 2 were pastors, and they all died.
That means I have a lot of in-laws--loving people. I enjoy teaching the girls to sew. Now we can get together and make pot-holders with insulated batting. And QUILT them.
I printed out the tutorial a saint posted on making a binding. Not scary anymore.
I gave birth to 2 boys, and ended up with 8 teenagers. We had 2 cars. The kids were very creative about getting all 8 to where they needed to be, and back again. Not easy when both adults had to get to work.
I am delighted to be on this forum. Carolyn
