Welcome from Central Florida! I am not a fast quilter either, but I quilt most every day for about 4-5 hours a day between breaks. I have to keep moving so I don't seize up. My sewing machine is always up & I sew whenever the feeling comes over me. From early morning to 10pm. I do try not to quilt when I'm tired though because that's when I make too many mistakes. I hope you find time in 2018! It's a wonderful adventure!

    Welcome to the board!
That's a funny expression, one I never heard
I sew a lot but not at night. At night I do hand work or hand quilt and watch TV or listen to music. I used to sew a lot at night (machine) after my kids were in bed but not anymore.
