I am so glad to hear you say this, it means I am not the only one. I also have grown up sewing, have "helped" my mom with her quilts, have gone to a couple classes with her but haven't really started. I am learning so much here just reading, and I'm taking a deep breath to get ready to jump in!

Hello from the mountains of Tennessee. You may find a local community college which offers quilting lessons or find a colleague at a quilt shop in your area who can help you. I was a self-taught quilter but finally did have the opportunity to take classes from well-known teachers. Good luck and keep in touch.
