Have been following the posts for weeks and decided to dive in and join posting. Currently am snowbound in northeast Texas (90 miles east of Dallas) with 8 inches of snow. I have taken advantage of the time to do some hand quilting (not my strong suite) and to read. I have been inspired by many of the projects I have seen on this site. I would say my level of expertise is intermediate. I have two current WIPs. The first is coordinating a purple quilt to be used as a fundraiser by my Pilot club to raise awareness of Alzheimer's disease. The second is completing a Christmas project in response to the President's challenge I issued to my quilt guild.

Hello and welcome from a former Dallasite/Keller/Austinite, now living in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains of VA.
I remember my very first winter in Dallas, 1983, we had snow and 7 degrees temps for nearly a week at Christmas. Finally adjusted to the idea that north Texas can have a temp. range of nearly 100 degrees in any given year!!
Enjoy your weekend while house-bound, it'll pass pretty quickly as I remember.:D
