I have been coming here all summer. Your conversations have helped me immensely with a project I needed to get done and I finally am.
My grandmother (we were very close) died in 2000. She had 3 mostly finished quilt tops that my mom brought out a couple of years later. one sister, my daughter, and I each chose one for ourselves. But since I am the only one who sews I volunteered to finish them.
So thank you all for your good hearts and great information. I have caught the quilting bug and am now thinking of what quilt tops I might leave to the next generation. I'll be checking in now and again.

Thank you so much for all your responses. My husband of 6 years and I moved to Las Cruces just months after we married. I got to retire early and make a life of creation after creation. I also love hard shell gourds (to grow and create) and lots of other crafts. Made my first quilt when I was 16 and my above mentioned grandmother helped me hand quilt it. I look forward to getting to know you all better. Marie
