    Welcome from another Texan, sorry I can't help you out, but would love to see a picture of the finished purse.
    Perhaps if you gave the name or the pattern or where you got it from someone might be able to figure it out for you.

    Google folded fabric star. I've made them but they didn't turn out to my liking--they're not hard---you just have to overlap them in the right direction???
