Manton is between Cadillac and Traverse Citry. It is a small farming community off of old 131 and we live way back in the sticks....in a 135 year old farmhouse.

PuffinGin, Just noticed your Avatar...how cute! My youngest DD (26 yrs old) just loves puffins. She and her husband went to Maine a few years ago for vacation just to go on a puffin tour to an island where they nest and breed. Can't remember the name, but they came home with video of the little guys...Can't decide if they sound like little sheep bleating or mini chain saws.

Oooo - I go up to Wolverine (just south of Indian River) in the summertime with my sister. We'll have to meet and hit some quilt shops and have lunch. Have you been to the Quilt House in Indian River? You live in beautiful part of the state.

Oh I would love that. I have never been to that shop but would love to go. There are many quilters in the community but I don't know many yet. I like your idea!

Won't be going until Spring, sister closed her cottage this year for the winter, but will definitely contact you. That will be fun.

Welcome from Oklahoma. I also am hopeful that my points and intersections get better with practice. I must learn to slow down. I want it all done quickly and I have to see that it does not work that way. :D
