Oh, golly, you are all SO nice! :-D Sorry I didn't respond earlier, but I've still got that "w-o-r-k" thing going on, so I don't have a lot of free time except the evenings and then I really like spend my time quilting!

It's so strange: I live in this big metropolitan area (San Francisco Bay Area), but I generally quilt in a vacuum, so to speak. The only quilts I see done by others are those on the web (like all of your lovely, lovely quilts!), in books, and what I see each year at the Pacific International Quilt Festival. So I end up comparing my work to really super talented people, which is pretty depressing for the most part...

I can piece reasonably well, but I have the darnedest time both figuring out how to quilt something and actually getting it to not look like something the dog dragged in. I was just looking at the pictures of my Valentine's Day quilt and realized that, in my rush to get it on the wall before February was over, I didn't really quilt it at all (other than 'in the ditch' around the blue pieces). Bo-o-o-r-ring... :(

Maybe if I hang out here long enough I'll pick up courage/ideas/whatever and try more?!?

Anyway, thanks everyone for your kind and generous welcome. You make a girl feel right at home!
