I am new to forum. I have been quilting for many years. I do easy to medium quilts. I am in the process of making an advanced quilt with appliqued flowers. I do not like to applique as I have a hard time seeing. The pattern I am working on has colors that are very close in tones. I have been getting very frustrated with the whole thing. I refuse to quit as it is for my oldest son. If I ever get it done will try to post a pic. of it.

Welcome from Southern California. Applique is not my favorite either mostly because of failing eyesight. There is a thread about applique:

I HOPE that you find as much inspiration as I do from this site.

Hi and welcome to the board! Just a thought to make machine sewing easier for you, I recently bought a bendable bright light and mounted it on the end of my machine so that I could focus the light right in front of the needle. It is incredibly bright and I now can't imagine sewing without having all that light right in front of my needle.
