While browsing the boards, I saw so many lovely quilts. Such dedication! This is where I ought to be!
So I signed up and here I am.
What can I say about me? I've been quilting for about 3 years now. I did a little sewing here and there before, but I think I always knew I was destined to become a quilter from the first time I sat down in front of a Bernina in Home Economics. I've made 4 baby quilts, 3 queen size quilts and 15 or so quilted table runners (I decided to make them for EVERYONE a few years ago for Christmas--that wasn't crazy at all!)
And I hate fleece. Hate it. It's taking up more and more space at the fabric store. My lovely quilting fabrics take up less and less as a result. If people want to do simple little cut and knot blankets, that's...their business. But it is a quick craft. Quilting is an art and it should not be minimized to make way for a quick craft. Can you tell I'm a little unhappy about the lack of variety of suitable quilting fabric? I knew you'd understand!
Anyhoo, I have 1 husband, 2 kitties, and I'm currently working on a Jane Austen-style quilt. With my own spin on it, of course. Looking forward to spending way too much time on here!

welcome to the QB!
greetings from Colorado-I laughed @ your feelings about fleece, you know, once I thought about it, it is true. Those big rolls do take up lots of potential quilt fabric space!!
show us some of your work :-D
