Hi Bren! OMG we are neighbors! I'm just south of Gregory on the "Turtle Hills" River. We are a retired farming family (and still young!). We recently sold our ranch but kept the 80 acres around the house. I've still got my own cattle, horses and other critters though. Love the life so much. It's the darn coyotes that take out my chickens every year but I keep hatching new ones, love having them around for bug control in the garden plus they're fun to watch. Speaking of gardens, I'll bet your husband tills for you with a plow too, LOL! Your quilts hanging are just lovely. Congrats on all your quilting ribbons. So nice to meet you.

Zebra2, I was just in your hometown twice in the past two weeks and DH was there Friday and Satuday. A really lovely city to visit. We were treated so nicely by everyone around the city, in every business we went into. People even smile at each other. Loved it! We camped at the state park just outside of town, had it all to ourselves.

DogHouseMom, You know...Valentine is just a hop skip and jump from SD. You'll both have what you want if you move to the area. It's beautiful country around these parts. I'm 50 miles east. Hope your dreams come true!

Amy Jo, I feel your pain. Been there done that many times. Our snow is almost gone but I'm not seeing anything green down here yet. Bren must be living in a micro climate up there in SD ;) 50s-60s next week for us. Hang in there girl, it's almost over.

Hi, Neighbor, and welcome from St. Paul, Minnesota. We haven't gotten Spring yet, and could you please push it our way a little faster? Very discouraged with all the piles of snow around here!!!!!! Probably May before they have all melted and then it will be time to snow again!!!!!! Edie

Welcome from Sioux Falls! We still have lots of snow here and not a lot of sun. Good news....I saw robins for the first time on Friday...spring must be around the corner.

Another welcome from South Dakota (Mitchell) Your quilts are beautiful. Even your dog is enjoying them. Do you use your shack for quilting??
