auntie-em here from Connecticut (not kansas). Been quilting for 24 years - needless to say it's an addiction. I hope to meet lots of friends here.

I am nearly 74, in a pleasant suburb of Denver, live with husband, have no children, a retired state mid-management employee, lifelong sewer, quilter last 30 years. Enjoy drafting blocks to diferent sizes, from pictures and sketches. Learned that one good way to try a pattern is to make three or four, then sash together for a tablerunner or "banner" for the bottom of a bed. Christmas colors and theme prints in rather traditional blocks turned out great for gifts this year. My 17 year old cat helps me hand quilt, by parking herself in the middle of the frame. If she falls off, it is not far to the floor.
