I like the look of the on-point settings but don't like sewing the diagonal rows, so this setting technique is very interesting. Making a straight set into an on-point set with just two cuts like this is something I never would have thought of and had never seen. Thanks for posting!

Thanks to the Original Poster who later explained her "new" rationale. And there is no need to say you are going to shuffle off because of a misread on what others have said.
