I totally agree! No-fabric-buying for me unless it is reallly a bargain (like 5 yds of pink for $2 at thrift store). I have made a pack with myself. NO MORE NEW FABRIC (with the prices??? no way). Besides I have boxes & boxes & boxes of scraps...
My 3rd oldest GD started making the braid out of my scraps a few yrs back. She now lives in China so no more sewing for her.
I started making blocks for a quilt for each grandchild at graduation. The oldest GS in 3 yrs, the oldest GD (she had made a few blocks) & 2nd GS (he made 1 block) in 4 yrs, then next yr a GD (she made 1 block), then the GD that make the french braid (I'll include it in hers), then another GD, then the baby GD.
I just pray God gives me good health to finish these....

We have a LQS that is closing; all the ladies want to retire.
    ALL fabric is $4/yd.
I need more fabric like a hole in the head, but hey!

Where in Louisville? I'm between Lou and Lex. My guild may be interested.
We've been talking about doing a quilt store run that would incllude Shelbyville, Middletown and Louisville. There is a fairly new store in Shelbyville I have been wanting to check out.
