I finished shopping for my kids' school supplies yesterday and I got a load of stuff for myself. I bought Elmers glue in bottles since I use it for crackle effect on wood. It is waaaay cheaper that cracknel compound. I also got reversible graph paper 4 swuare/5 square for $1 which is great as a design scrapbook. Colored pencils were also very inexpensive. Love the back to school sales.

Last year I loaded up on glue sticks at Walmart. After several months I opened them up they were too dry to use. Didnt turn out to big a big bargain afterall. The ones I used first were fine, but the older the rest got, the drier they became.

What a brilliant, money-saving idea for something I use a lot! Thank you so much!

Put the glue sticks in a zip bag and either store in the refrigerator or freezer -- they don't dry out as quickly and they keep a long time. for 10 cents you can't go wrong.
