    Default Angela Walters question

Just wanted to post what a wonderful teacher and quilt person Angela Walters is! I am attempting a whole cloth and had heard from Angela and several other long arm teachers that RJR Radiance (a cotton/silk blend) was wonderful for this purpose. Well, got the Radiance and just was shocked how thin it felt, afraid to start, etc. So I went on Angela's website, saw that she sold Radiance and sent her an email. She got right back, letting me know what bat, thread, etc she used and while it seems thin, works great. And even offered to order other colors than what she carries if I needed it.

Isn't she great!? One thing I really like about quilters is they are all so helpful--no egos there!

I agree that quilters are generally good people. Glad you got the help you needed.

I watched a Fon's and Porter quilt show on fusible interfacing. They put it on thin fabrics and worked well. if need be, you might try that.

Nice to hear how accommodating Angela Walters can be. Although I've found that quilters every where are truly nice people and very helpful when asked a question.

I totally agree about Angela. Great sense of humor. I've got those same classes and love the Midnight series.

I have only caught a few of the Midnight shows but she is fun...I took one of her FMQ classes here in Maine a couple of summers ago and she's great.

got a 2nd email from her saying she'd want to see this quilt when done. So personable! For those of you that want to do an in-person class with her, she'll teach several (and a trunk show) at the KC Regional Quilt Fest--plus Jamie Wallen, Sue Heinz, Kim Brunner,Kerr & Ringle and lots of other classes--many for sit-down or DSM quilting too. And more design ones.
